ROAD & DIRT | R.A.D Apex
Featuring a handcrafted 6069-T6 aluminium frame with full carbon fork, both tested beyond ISO MTB and Road standards, the R.A.D is ready for anything from smooth tarmac to rocky trails. The 1x specific design with custom CNC machined chainstay yoke provides tyre clearances up to 700x43 or 27.5x2.1” with snug 420mm chainstay length for spritely handling. The short rear end is balanced by the slack head angle and long fork offset which result in a confidently stable high-speed descender that hooks through corners with ease.
The R.A.D Apex features the same ultralight AL 6069-T6 triple butted aluminium frame and full carbon fork as the top R.A.D Force bike, with components changed to the more economical SRAM Apex 1x11 groupset and Ritchey Comp bar, stem and seat post.

WHEELSET OPTIONS
ROAD
PANARACER GRAVELKING 700C x 32
Natural rubber compound, puncture protection breaker and a special low rolling resistance casing make the GravelKing fast yet durable over any road surface from hot mix to moderate gravel.
As with all the Panaracer GravelKing tyres available with Grove Bike Co wheelsets, the 700x32 is tubeless compatible which offers increased suppleness and allows use of lower pressures with a reduced risk of pinch flatting. 290g / tyre
GRAVEL
PANARACER GRAVELKING SK 700C x 35
The Gravelking 'Small Knob' tyres feature a compact square knob tread through the centre of the tyre for a fine balance of smooth rolling speed with confident straight line braking and climbing traction. The shoulder of the tyres feature a linear yet more open tread for controlled cornering on firm through to loose surfaces.
The 700x35 size actually measures 38mm wide on a 21mm internal width rim; enough air volume to ride moderate gravel at speed.
CYCLOCROSS
PANARACER GRAVELKING MUD 700C x 33
Utilising the same anti-flat casing and natural rubber compound as the other GravelKing models, the GravelKing Mud features an open tread design ideal as an all-rounder for varied conditions on a ‘cross track or muddy gravel roads. The 700x33C size is UCI compliant for cyclocross racing and weighs 300g / tyre. Grove Cyclocross wheelsets are supplied with a smaller 11-36T cassette rather than the standard 11-42T for reduced weight and a closer shift increment at the top end (12T between the 11 and 13T). The derailleur can be set so that no adjustment is required when changing between 11-36T and 11-42T cassettes.
ROAD PLUS
PANARACER GRAVELKING 650B x 48
By utilising smaller 650B rims, tyre volume can be increased considerably without increasing the tread diameter relative to a much smaller volume 700C tyre. The slick GravelKing tread with subtle shoulder chevrons provides a surprising amount of traction, most notably when climbing on loose surfaces, thanks to the ability to use lower pressures and the wide contact patch. The trademark GravelKing low rolling resistance reaches a whole other level when the road gets rocky.
If you want low resistance and high speeds no matter how rough the road gets, this 520g tyre keeps your options wide open.
GRAVEL PLUS
PANARACER GRAVELKING SK 650B x 48
The King of GravelKings; if you seek confident handling through loose corners and optimal compliance on the roughest firetrails, then look no further. Utilising additional rows of the same square Small Knob tread pattern on the 700x35C SK, this claimed 48mm wide tyre measures over 50mm and boasts predictable traction over a wide variety of surfaces. The 12mm width increase over our 700C gravel option provides over 60% greater cross sectional area; that's a huge increase in air volume! This allows use of 'MTB pressures' below 30 psi for a supple ride with reasonably low rolling resistance and confident tarmac cornering feel.
