Get 2019 off to a great start with the Grove Grind 100 - a 100km loop taking in the best gravel, fire trails and scenic vistas of Sydney’s Northern Beaches, the home of Grove Bike Co.
This won't be a casual century; the Northern Beaches' fire trails are notoriously rough and rocky, plus the 1700m or so of climbing on generally loose surfaces will take its toll. With that said, it's a social gravel enduro; the pace will be accommodating while various timed stages and stunt challenges will provide some heated competition between those with energy to burn.
This is not a sanctioned event, just a group of like-minded individuals going for a ride together. The ride is unsupported so you'll need to be self-sufficient and well prepared. Suitable tyre set up is critical.
We recommend a minimum tyre girth of 35mm, but around 40mm or more is advised. Tubeless is mandatory; don't forget to check your sealant and bring a spare tube and/or tyre plugs. Gravel/CX bikes will be optimal. MTBs are welcome though may be slow on the road sectors. Road bikes will not survive.
Route details and GPX file will be sent to registered riders a few days ahead of the event. There are limited spots available so if you're keen, please register your interest by sending us an email.
